PLEASE NOTE: We need a minimum of 4 people to choose the Horse hide, in order to make it cost effective. If we do not have enough people choosing this hide, it will not be available and you will have the Deer hide instead. We will know this well before the course date and will keep you informed.

Sustainability - the supplier information:‍ ‍Wherever possible, Toni has sourced the hoops and hides from suppliers whose ethos is ethical and sustainable. Some prepare their own hides, others have imported hides which have a certificate of cleansing. The spirit of the animal is always honoured and not taken for their hide. This is absolutely crucial to us both.

Who is this course for?

Drum birthing is such a wonderful experience. This course is for anyone who wishes to make their own drum and use it to support their wellbeing or to use in their healing or shamanic practice and to use their drum as a healing tool.

We were all born with our own internal drum – our heartbeat. We hear the heartbeat of our mother in her womb.  Making contact with a drum awakens our sacred, awakens our soul. The beat of the drum represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth herself and hearing or facilitating this “heartbeat” by playing the drum, brings healing and a deeper understanding of your connection with all life.

What will you do and experience?

You will have the opportunity to create your sacred drum and beater and be attuned to your ‘Eden’ / Sacred Space when you will connect to the spirit of your drum, so you may explore how the spirit and sound of the drum supports wellbeing.

This 2 day course covers:

✓  The benefits of drumming, your wellbeing protocol and practice.

✓  Why rest, integration and grounding are so important for your body’s healing process.

….observe

✓  how your focused attention and intention can support you to understand your body’s expression and become more self aware and able to listen to what you need.

✓  how hoop size, hide thickness and hydration/warmth makes a difference to the sound and resonance of a drum.
